The
world’s only sealed
macroporous knitted
fluoropolymer graft.
Fluoropassiv™
utilises Vascutek's
patented fluoropassivation
process to coat the
surface of each fibre
with an inert fluoropolymer.
This, combined with
Vascutek’s proven
low thrombogenicity
hyrolysable gelatin
sealant technology,
produces a zero porosity
low-thrombogenicity
biomaterial with optimal
healing characteristics,
ideal for axillo-bifemoral
extra-anatomic bypass
procedures. The unique
externally reinforced
graft design features
an innovative symmetrical
bifurcated “flowsplitter”.
This provides equal
flow to both bifurcate
legs and significantly
improves graft patency
compared with conventional
90° products.
Moreover,
unlike unsealed fluoropolymer
prostheses, such as ePTFE,
Fluoropassiv™ features
minimal suture hole bleeding.
Furthermore,
the unique gelatin sealant
can be loaded with heparin
to provide additional
active thromboresistance
within the graft and/or
bonded with antibiotics
for extra protection against
postoperative graft infection
in high risk cases.
